The Blog to Transform Advanced Care
Advancing Care through Innovation, Observation and Collaboration.
The Stupski Foundation (Stupski) is collaborating with community partners to invest all of our assets within the next nine years to address some of the Bay Area’s and Hawaiʻi’s biggest challenges so that one day everyone can benefit from the wealth of opportunities and resources in the places we call home. We invest in San Francisco and Alameda Counties and the state of Hawai‘i across four areas: early brain development, food security, postsecondary success, and serious illness care.
At Stupski, we invest in serious illness care because we believe everyone should be able to make choices about the care they want and live free from unnecessary suffering as they approach the end of their life. In years past, the Summit has been an important place for us to meet fellow funders and learn about leading policy change movements. In these virtual times, the Summit remains an important venue for practitioners, advocates, and funders of serious illness care to connect and drive lasting change. It’s a place where leaders can share ideas and make bold steps to expand palliative care, reach all patients, and build a shared infrastructure that will allow all patients and their loved ones to receive care that respects their wishes.
This year’s Summit will play a critical role in advocating for policy that will improve care and conditions for those living with serious illness during the pandemic. As a leader in policy development and coalition-building, C-TAC and thought leaders in the network have a unique opportunity to explore and advocate for serious illness care policy that will shape care for years to come.
