The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation has announced that those who have not submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the Direct Contracting Model (Global and Professional options) will now be able to do so until 11:59 PM ET on July 6. The start date of the first performance year will be April 1, 2021.
To submit an LOI, please click here. Those who have submitted an LOI will be able to access the Performance Year 1 application portal for the Direct Contracting Model, Professional and Global options, here.
A second cohort of the Direct Contracting Model, Professional and Global options, will begin on January 1, 2022. In its announcement, CMS noted that it expects the application period for the second cohort to begin in the first quarter of 2021. To learn more about the Direct Contracting Model, please click here.
