C-TAC has been honored by Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana as one of the recipients of its 2019 Communities for a Lifetime – Awards of Excellence. C-TAC Executive Director Jon Broyles accepted the award during AIHS’ 44th Annual Meeting in Fort Wayne, IN.
“C-TAC has taken the lead at the federal level to create and promote a comprehensive policy agenda, and to provide resources at the local level to strengthen grassroots advocacy efforts to ensure that those living with advanced illness have access to high-quality, person- and family-centered care,” said award presenter Bob Blancato, a 2018 Communities for a Lifetime honoree and friend of AIHS.
Blancato cited highlights from C-TAC’s recent Summit and went on to say that “C-TAC has recognized and advocated for the important role of community-based organizations as part of the personal centered integrated care model emerging as the gold standard for this population.”
While accepting the award on behalf of C-TAC, Jon Broyles thanked AIHS President & CEO Connie Benton Wolfe for her leadership and the organization for its commitment to innovation. AIHS recently became the first Area Agency on Aging to become a member of C-TAC.
Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana is a private, not-for-profit social service organization dedicated to promoting dignity, independence, and advocacy for all older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers.
C-TAC is honored to receive this distinction from AIHS and we look forward to working together to ensure that all Americans living with advanced illness receive high-quality, family- and person-centered care that is consistent with their goals and values and honors their dignity.
