The Blog to Transform Advanced Care

Advancing Care through Innovation, Observation and Collaboration.

Earlier today, Bloomberg reported that Adam Boehler will be stepping down from his roles as Director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and Deputy Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This afternoon, the White House announced that President Donald Trump intends to nominate Director Boehler to become Chief Executive Officer of the United States International Development Finance Corporation.

Director Boehler has been a steadfast supporter of innovative models aimed at improving advanced illness care for all Americans. C-TAC has appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with Director Boehler and CMMI staff on payment models designed to improve the quality of advanced care across the United States.

“C-TAC was honored to work closely with Director Boehler and CMMI on a number of initiatives, including new payment models and other projects designed to support people with advanced illness and their families,” said C-TAC Co-Founder and Co-Chair Tom Koutsoumpas. “His leadership and commitment to innovation have set us on a path for progress on advanced care. We wish him luck in his new position and look forward to continuing our work with CMMI to ensure that all Americans with advanced illness receive high-quality, person-centered care.”
